I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Atlanta, GA. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, I understand the challenges of relocating and starting anew. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Spelman College in Atlanta and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology, formerly known as Argosy University, Atlanta. With over a decade of experience, I have worked in diverse settings including private practice, hospitals, and mental health facilities. My work has involved assisting teens, various ethnic groups, individuals, couples, and families with therapeutic services. In private practice, I've led group therapy for those dealing with Domestic Violence, Anger Management, and Alcohol and Drug dependency issues.
As a therapist, my aim is to offer compassion and respect to my clients in a nonjudgmental way, focusing on identifying and addressing negative thoughts and behaviors. I am dedicated to establishing a strong rapport with each client, customizing the experience to meet their unique needs. Whether it's personal development or resolving issues in couples counseling, we can collaborate. My areas of expertise include women's issues, relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, bipolar and attention deficit disorders, as well as grief and loss, among other difficulties. Although I value all therapeutic methods and integrate them when beneficial for my clients, my primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Client-Centered Therapy, with a Psychodynamic focus.
